Cad (Coronary Artery Disease)
Coronary artery disease: impedance or blockage of one or more arteries that supply blood to the heart, usually due to atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). Abbreviated cad. A major cause of illness and death, cad begins when hard cholesterol substances (plaques) are deposited within a coronary artery.
SYMPTOMS
Coronary artery disease can range from no symptoms, to chest pain, to a heart attack.
CAUSES
Coronary artery disease (cad) coronary artery disease is caused by plaque buildup in the wall of the arteries that supply blood to the heart (called coronary arteries). Plaque is made up of cholesterol deposits. Plaque Buildup causes the inside of the arteries to narrow over time
