Asthma
A respiratory condition marked by attacks of spasm in the bronchi of the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing. It is usually connected to allergic reaction or other forms of hypersensitivity.
SYMPTOMS
Cough: can occur at night, during exercise, can be chronic, dry, with phlegm, mild, or severe. Respiratory: difficulty breathing, wheezing, breathing through the mouth, fast breathing, frequent respiratory infections, rapid breathing, or shortness of breath at night, chest tightness, flare, anxiety, early awakening, fast heart rate, or throat irritation
CAUSES
Asthma triggers are different from person to person and can include:
- Airborne substances, such as pollen, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander or particles of cockroach waste.
- Respiratory infections, such as the common cold.
- Physical activity (exercise-induced asthma)
- Cold air.
- Air pollutants and irritants, such as smoke.
