Atonic Seizure
Atonic seizures are a type of generalized seizure. They involve a sudden loss of muscle tone, so that the child goes limp and falls to the ground. They are often present in children who also have other seizuretypes, such as tonic or myoclonic seizures. They occur in all age groups, but are more common in children.
SYMPTOMS
Sudden loss of muscle tone., the child goes limp and falls straight to the ground., the child remains conscious or has a brief loss of consciousness., eyelids droop, head nods., jerking.
CAUSES
Atonic seizures are a type of seizure that causes sudden loss of muscle strength. These seizures are also called akinetic seizures, drop attacks or drop seizures. The sudden lack of muscle strength, or tone, can cause the person to fall to the ground. The person usually remains conscious, and may not always fall down. All these caused due to unhealthy life style like less consumption of water, constipation, blood impurity, lack of exercise
