Brain Attack

Stroke, also known as cerebrovascular accident (cva), cerebrovascular insult (cvi), or brain attack, is when poor blood flow to the brain results in cell death. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic, due to lack of blood flow, and hemorrhagic, due to bleeding.

SYMPTOMS

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure. 
  • Smoking. Puffing On cigarettes is associated with a host of ills.
  • Family history of stroke
  • Migraines
  • Ministroke.
  • History of stroke

CAUSES

A stroke may be caused by a blocked artery (ischemic stroke) or the leaking or bursting of a blood vessel (hemorrhagic stroke). Some people may experience only a temporary disruption of blood flow to their brain (transient ischemic attack, or tia).
