De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis
Inflammation of tendons on the side of the wrist at the base of the thumb. These tendons include the extensor pollicis brevis and the abductor pollicis longus tendons.
SYMPTOMS
- Inflammation of tendons on the side of the wrist at the base of the thumb. These tendons include the extensor pollicis brevis and the abductor pollicis longus tendons.
- Symptoms : pain areas: in the wrist
- Also common: tenderness, difficulty gripping, or swelling
CAUSES
Other causes of de quervain's tenosynovitis include: direct injury to your wrist or tendon; scar tissue can restrict movement of the tendons. Inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis.
