The fertilized egg settles and grows in any location other than the inner lining of the uterus. The large majority (95%) of ectopic pregnancies occur in the fallopian tube. However, they can occur in other locations, such as the ovary, cervix, and abdominal cavity.

SYMPTOMS

Pain areas: in the pelvis, abdomen, or side part of the bodygastrointestinal: bloating, nausea, or vomiting. Also common: abnormal vaginal bleeding or cramping

CAUSES

Smoking,pelvic inflammatory disease (pid),
Endometriosis, which can cause scar tissue in or around the fallopian tubes,being exposed to the chemical des before you were born.
