Diseases
Ewing Sarcoma
Ewing sarcoma or ewing's sarcoma is a malignant small, round, blue cell tumor. It is a rare disease in which cancer cells are found in the bone or in soft tissue. The most common areas in which it occurs are the pelvis, the femur, the humerus, the ribs and clavicle (collar bone).
SYMPTOMS
Pain in the back, bones, or joints, limping, palpable soft-tissue mass, or swelling
CAUSES
The exact causes of primary bone cancer are unknown. The development of ewing sarcoma may be related in some way to times of rapid bone growth, which may explain why more cases are seen in teenagers. Like other cancers, it's not infectious and cannot be passed on to other people.
