A fetal ultrasound, or sonogram, is an imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce of a baby in the uterus. Fetal Ultrasound can help your health care provider evaluate your baby's growth and development and determine how your pregnancy is progressing.

Side Effects :

Single or small studies on humans exposed to ultrasound have shown that possible adverse effects include premature ovulation, preterm labor or miscarriage, low birth weight, poorer condition at birth, perinatal death, dyslexia, delayed speech development, and less right-handedness.
