Diseases
Gallbladder Disease
The gallbladderis a small pear-shaped sac located underneath your liver. Your gallbladder's main function is to store the bile produced by your liver and pass it along through a duct that empties into the small intestine
SYMPTOMS
Pain in the mid- or upper-right section of the abdomen, nausea or vomiting, fever or shaking chill, changes in bowel movements, changes in urine, jaundice
CAUSES
One of the most common causes of gallbladder disease is gallstones (also called gallstone disease, or cholelithiasis). Gallstones occur when cholesterol and other substances found in bile form stones. When the stone passes from the gallbladder into the small intestine or become stuck in thebiliary duct it can cause pain.
