It is an esophagalmucosal injury that occurs secondary to retrograde flux of gastric contents into the esophagus
SYMPTOMS
Gastrointestinal : belching, heartburn, nausea,or regurgitation
CAUSES
It is caused when the stomach contents, including acids,cfrequently back up into the esophagus. This causes chronic inflammation and irritation of the esophagus.
