Grave’s Disease
A common form of hyperthyroidism that is an autoimmune disease characterized by goiter, rapid and irregular heartbeat, weight loss, irritability, anxiety, and often a slight protrusion of the eyeballs — called also basedow's disease, exophthalmic goiter.
SYMPTOMS
Symptoms include anxiety, hand tremor, heat sensitivity, weight loss, puffy eyes and enlarged thyroid.
CAUSES
An immune system disorder of the butterfly-shaped gland in the throat (thyroid).
