Hepatolithiasis

It is also known as colangiocarcinoma Cholangiocarcinoma, also known as bile duct cancer, is a form of cancer that is composed of mutated epithelial cells (or cells showing characteristics of epithelial differentiation) that originate in the bile ducts which drain bile from the liver into the small intestine.

SYMPTOMS

Pain areas: in the abdomen, dark urine, fever, itching, pale faeces, weakness, weight loss, or yellow skin and eyes

CAUSES

Primary sclerosing cholangitis. This disease causes hardening and scarring of the bile ducts. Chronic Liver disease. Scarring of the liver caused by a history of chronic liver disease increases the risk of cholangiocarcinoma.
