Intermitten Sleeping Disorder

Intermittent insomnia may not require treatment since the episodes of insomnia usually only last a few days at a time. For example, if insomnia is due to a temporary change in the sleep/wake schedule, as with jet lag, the biological clock will often get back to normal on its own.

SYMPTOMS

Difficulty falling asleep at night, waking up during the night,waking up too early,not feeling well-rested after a night's sleep,daytime tiredness or sleepiness,irritability, depression or anxiety,difficulty paying attention, focusing on tasks or remembering, increased errors or accidents.

CAUSES

Nasal/sinus allergies, gastrointestinal problems such as reflux, endocrine problems such as hyperthyroidism, arthritis, asthma, neurological conditions such as parkinson's disease, chronic pain, low back pain.
