Intestine Cancer

Colon cancer is the third leading type of cancer in males and the fourth in females. Risk factors for cancer of the colon and rectum (colorectal cancer) includecolon polyps, long-standing ulcerative colitis, and genetic family history. Mostcolorectal cancers develop from polyps.

SYMPTOMS

Pain in the abdomen, gastrointestinal: blood in stool, change in bowel habits, constipation, narrow stools, or passing excessive amounts of gas, anaemia or fatigue, abdominal discomfort or weight loss.

CAUSES

Inflammatory intestinal conditions. Chronic Inflammatory diseases of the colon, such asulcerative colitis and crohn's disease, can increase your risk of colon cancer. Inherited syndromes that increase colon cancer risk. Genetic syndromes passed through generations of your family can increase your risk of colon cancer
