Leprosy
A contagious disease that affects the skin, mucous membranes, and nerves, causing discoloration and lumps on the skin and, in severe cases, disfigurement and deformities. Leprosy is now mainly confined to tropical africa and asia., a state of corruption or decay.
SYMPTOMS
Abdominal pain, constipation, cough, decreased hearing, diarrhea, earache, eye discomfort and redness, fever.
CAUSES
Leprosy is a chronic, progressive bacterial infection caused by the bacterium mycobacterium leprae. It primarily affects the nerves of the extremities, the lining of the nose, and the upper respiratory tract. Leprosy produces skin sores, nerve damage, and muscle weakness.
