Low Grade Bellini Duct Carcinoma

Ductal carcinoma in situ (dcis) is a non-invasive cancer where abnormal cells have been found in the lining of the breast milk duct. The atypical cells have not spread outside of the ducts into the surrounding breast tissue. Collecting duct carcinoma (cdc) (also known as bellini duct carcinoma), is a type of kidney cancerthat originates in the papillary duct of the kidney.

SYMPTOMS

This type of cancer doesn't usually cause a lump in the breast that can be felt. Symptoms of dcis include breast pain and a bloody discharge from the nipple. About 80% of cases are found by mammograms. On the mammogram, it appears as a shadowy area.

CAUSES

Dcis forms when genetic mutations occur in the dna ofbreast duct cells. The genetic mutations cause the cells to appear abnormal, but the cells don't yet have the ability to break out of the breast duct. Researchers don't know exactly what triggers the abnormal cell growth that leads to dcis
