Myositis
Inflammation of muscle tissue. There are many causes of myositis, including injury, medications, and diseases, such as dermatomyositis. Myositis may Require no treatment, stopping medications, or treatment of an underlying disease, if present.
SYMPTOMS
- Muscle weakness, sometimes with muscle pain.
- General tiredness and fatigue.
- Trouble climbing stairs, standing from a seated position, or reaching up.
- Difficulty swallowing or breathing.
- Rash on knuckles, chest, face and back.
- Persistent dry cough.
