Non-Specific Urethritis

Non-specific urethritis (nsu) means any inflammation of a man's urethra (the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside) that is not caused by gonorrhoea (a sexually transmissible infection). It is sometimes called non-gonococcal urethritis (ngu).

SYMPTOMS

A white or cloudy discharge from the tip of the penis, usually more noticeable first thing in the morning. ...
Difficulty, pain or a burning sensation when passing urine.
The feeling that you need to pass urine frequently.
Itching or irritation at the end of the urethra.

CAUSES

Sexually transmitted infections, other organisms, damage to the urethra. This can be caused by friction duringvigorous sex or masturbation, or inserting objects into the urethra, antibacterial liquids,sensitivity or irritation.
