Peptic Ulcers
It is an ulcer in the wall of the stomach or duodenum resulting from the digestive action of the gastric juice on the mucous membrane when the latter is rendered susceptible to its action (as from infection with the bacterium helicobacter pylori or the chronic use of nsaids)
SYMPTOMS
Pain areas: in the chest or upper abdomen, pain types: can be dull, gastrointestinal: belching, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, passing excessive amounts of gas, or vomiting, whole body: fatigue, feeling full sooner than normal, or loss of appetite, also common: abdominal discomfort
CAUSES
Infection with helicobacter pylorihelicobacter pylori (h. pylori) bacteria, use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids), such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen.
