SYMPTOMS

Delusions or strange beliefs,hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren't there),feeling very irritated,hyperactivity,decreased need for or inability to sleep,paranoia and suspiciousness,rapid mood swings,difficulty communicating at times

CAUSES

Family history of mental health illness, particularly postpartum psychosis (even if you have no history of mental illness)
Already have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.
You have a traumatic birth or pregnancy.
