Lung disease is any problem in the lungs that prevents the lungs from working properly. There are three main types of lung disease: airway diseases -- these diseases affect the tubes (airways) that carry oxygen and other gases into and out of the lungs. They usually cause a narrowing or blockage of the airways.
SYMPTOMS
- A cough that does not go away or gets worse.
- Coughing up blood or rust-colored sputum (spit or phlegm)
- Chest pain that is often worse with deep breathing, coughing, or laughing.
- Hoarseness.
- Weight loss and loss of appetite.
- Shortness of breath.
- Feeling tired or weak.
CAUSES

- Allergies, infections, or pollution can trigger asthma's symptoms. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(copd): lung conditions defined by an inability to exhale normally, which causes difficulty breathing. Chronic bronchitis: a form of copd characterized by a chronic productive cough.
