Discoid eczema, also known as nummular or discoid dermatitis, is a long-term skin condition that causes skin to become itchy, reddened, swollen and cracked in circular or oval patches. Without treatment, discoid eczema can last for weeks, months or even years.

SYMPTOMS

Skin: dryness, flakiness, rashes, redness, coin shaped rashes, or darkening of the skin also common: lesion or itching

CAUSES

Localised injury such as scratch, insect bite or thermal burn, impetigo or wound infection, contact dermatitis, dry skin, varicose veins (varicose eczema),another skin problem.
