Stuttgart Disease

Any of several diseases of humans and domestic animals (as cattle and dogs) that are caused by infection with spirochetes of the genus leptospira — called also lepto; see stuttgart disease, weil's disease.

SYMPTOMS

High fever, headache, bleeding, muscle pain, chills, red eyes and vomiting are some symptoms.

CAUSES

Weil's disease is a severe form of leptospirosis. This is a type of bacterial infection. It's caused by leptospira bacteria. You can contract it if you come into contact with the urine, blood, or tissue of animals or rodents that are infected with the bacteria.
