Thymomic
Any of numerous small spherical bodies found in the medulla of the lobules of the thymus, composed of keratinized, usually squamous, epithelial cells arranged around clusters of degenerating lymphocytes, eosinophils, and macrophages. Also called hassall's concentric corpuscle
SYMPTOMS
- Persistent cough.
- Shortness of breath.
- Pain or pressure in the chest.
- Muscle weakness.
- Drooping eyelids.
- Double vision.
- Arm or facial swelling.
- Difficulty swallowing.
CAUSES
Thymoma and thymic carcinoma are diseases in whichmalignant (cancer) cells form on the outside surface of the thymus. Thymoma is linked with myasthenia gravisand other autoimmune diseases. Signs And symptoms of thymoma and thymic carcinoma include a cough and chest pain
