Urea Plasma Urealyticum

Ureaplasma urealyticum is an bacterium that affects about 70% of sexually active men and women. Although it is not considered as an sti, ureaplasma can be transmitted through sexual contact.

SYMPTOMS

Ureaplasma urealyticum is asymptomatic (has no symptoms) in many cases and the majority of people with theinfection do not even realise they have it. If symptoms are present they can include inflammation of the urethra (the tube that carries urine from the body), unusual genital dischargeand pain during urination.

CAUSES

Urethritis ( ureaplasma only), pyelonephritis, cystitis, pelvic inflammatory disease ( m hominis only), urinary calculi ( ureaplasma only), endometritis or chorioamnionitis,infectious arthritis.
