Vaginal yeast infection: infection of the vagina caused by a fungus known as candida. A vaginal yeast infection is characterized by itching, burning, soreness, pain during intercourse and/or urination, and vaginal discharge that is typically cheesy white in color.

SYMPTOMS

This condition can cause inflammation, intense itchiness and a thick, white discharge from the vagina.

CAUSES

Antibiotics (they lower the amount of lactobacillus, or good bacteria, in the vagina),pregnancy,uncontrolled diabetes,weak immune system,poor eating habits, including a lot of sugary foods,hormonal imbalance near your menstrual cycle,stress,lack of sleep.
